Alaska

The 9 day drive from Salt Lake City, UT to Anchorage, AK seems well worth it. The drive itself was epic and the places I have been able to visit since setting foot in Alaska have simply blown my mind. Summiting mountains, and enjoying the company of some of the greatest co-workers in the world...who could ask for more?!

It has been quite chilly this June. Two days ago, the sun finally came out and it was warm enough to enjoy cold brews on the deck by the river. With all of the travelling I've done, I still crave spending the afternoon on this very deck. There really is no place like home.

Sheldon Music Mania

The family band was asked to perform at a Beatles Singalong concert. I believe this was Seargent Pepper's Lonely Heartclub Band. So much fun! The event attracted all sorts of old-time Bend folk...

This fall and winter, I spent a couple months enjoying one of my favorite places on earth: Bend, Oregon. Monster truck rallies and desert sunsets...what more could you want? I will be working in Oregon all summer and am very excited about being home for the first time in 10 years. Central Oregon is RAD.

Western Spain and Northern Portugal

I received a surprise schedule in September to work in Spain and Portugal. What an experience!! These photos don't do this area justice. Rich culture and kind people. Blue skies and beautiful artwork. I rarely saw another tourist...and my red hair and freckles made me stand out like a sore thumb. Unfortunately, I only had three weeks in the area...not nearly enough. I'll have to go back once I learn how to speak Portugese...that might be a while.
